What time can I check-in and check-out?
Check in is from 3pm. If you have booked spa treatments earlier you can enjoy Lon Spa then check-into your suite following your treatments. Check-out is before 11am.
What are Reception opening hours?
Our Reception is open to our in-house guests from 10am-5pm Mon-Sat & 10am-1 Sunday. Our Reception is open to the public from 10am-5pm Mon-Sat.
Can I arrange for a late check-in after 5pm when Reception is closed?
Yes, if checking in after 5pm we will arrange for a check-in booklet/map to be left at our Reception desk with your Suite key. Our front gate/door access codes will be emailed to you 24 hours prior to arrival.
Is Lon suitable for children or infants?
Our Retreat & Spa is an adults retreat and is not suitable for infants and children under 16 years.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not permitted.
How many suites are there and how many adults can Lon accommodate per suite?
There are 7 suites that can accommodate a total of 16 adults. 6 suites can accommodate 2 adults each (1 x king bed) and 1 suite can accommodate 4 adults (2 x king beds).
Are the King Beds in each suite able to be split into single beds?
No, our king beds are unable to be split.
Can I book multiple suites or the entire property?
Yes, multiple suites can be booked. Please email or call. Lon Retreat is available for exclusive use on application.
Are suites accessibilty friendly?
Our Arcus Suite is an accessible suite. Please make note when booking of any specific requirements.
Do the suites have Wifi and TV's?
All Suites have televisions. As we are a Retreat there is no Wifi available in your suite, however there is a 4G tower on the neighbouring golf course providing a strong signal if needed. There is also wifi available in our meeting space adjacent to our Foyer.
Is breakfast included in my stay?
A Farm Sourced Breakfast Tray is included for the first morning of your stay. This is a seasonal breakfast with farm sourced continental breakfast provisions. Local teas, plunger coffee & milk is also included in your suite.
What are the kitchen and cooking facilities?
All suites have a kitchenette that includes a sink, microwave, small fridge, toaster, kettle and weber bbq. Our Stratus and Alto Suites have stove-tops. Our Stratus Suite has a full-size fridge. Our Alto, Cumulus & Stratus Suites have dishwashers.
Can you recommend any restaurants/cafes/wineries or good places to eat out locally?
Yes we can! Please click through to 'Where to Eat' for our latest favourite spots. We can also arrange private transfers on request - a minimum 48 hours notice is required and additional charges apply.
Is there in-suite dining?
An In-Suite Seasonal Dining Menu is sent to our guests 1 week prior to arrival which includes delicious platters and homely warm meals that can be in your suite on arrival or during your stay. A minimum 72 hours notice is required for ordering.
What is the Makers & Growers Pantry and what is available?
Our Makers & Growers Pantry is located in our Foyer and is available for guests to purchase throughout their stay. It features an honesty bar of local wines, beers, ciders, cocktails and beverages along with a seasonal variety of local sweets, snacks, condiments and gifts. All pantry items can be settled and paid for on check-out.
How do I change or cancel my accommodation booking?
CANCELLATION, AMENDMENT, NO SHOW & COVID POLICY
Due to the boutique, small nature of our 7-suite property, we are limited in our flexibility to cancel or amend reservations. With this in mind, all reservations require a 50% deposit at the time of booking.
If you cancel or amend your reservation/s:
a) With more than 14 days notice prior to your arrival date, your 50% deposit will be refunded less a $75 administrative fee.
b) 7-14 days notice is given prior to your arrival date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the total reserved accommodation will be charged unless you transfer the full $value of your reservation to another date within 6 months of your original check-in date. A $75 administrative fee is also charged.
c) 7 days or less notice is given prior to your arrival date, you will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to your total reserved stay less the deposit already paid.
The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff are hugely important to us. As a small, boutique property with just 7 suites we are fortunately well-positioned to manage the current COVID situation. Rest assured we have been keenly preparing for your safe arrival and have in place extensive cleaning and sanitisation measures, staggered check-ins and limited contact points. We ask that you please stay home if you or a household member are experiencing any COVID symptoms. Please note our COVID CANCELLATION POLICY allows for no cancellation fees and any deposits paid to be credited into the form of a Lon Gift Voucher which is valid for up to three years.
Where is Lon located and how can I get there?
We are located in Point Lonsdale on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria, approximately 90 minutes drive from Melbourne. Our property is at the end of the sealed section of Gill Road. The closest train station is Geelong station (30 minutes). The closest airports are Melbourne (Tullamarine) airport (90 minutes drive) or Melbourne (Avalon) airport (40 minutes drive)
Do I need a car when I stay at Lon and is there car parking on site?
We recommend having a car when visiting Lon as it is the best way to explore the Peninsula. Our farm is a 20 minute walk from the Point Lonsdale Village or 1 minute drive. There is a car park allocated to you in our driveway circle - each car park is allocated by suite name. There is no undercover parking.

When can accommodation guests access the heated mineral pools?
Guests can use our heated mineral pools throughout their stay. Our pools are open from 6am until midnight daily to accommodation guests.
Can the public book to use the mineral pools?
To use or book the mineral pools at Lon Retreat you must be either a Guest of the hotel or have a Spa Treatment booking. Guests that are staying Lon can access the mineral pool throughout their stay at no extra charge. If you have a Spa Treatment booked you can purchase a 'Mineral Pool Access Pass' when booking at Lon Spa. There is no access to our Mineral Pool without a treatment at Lon Spa.
What days/hours is Lon Spa available to accommodation guests for bookings?

Is Lon Spa available for the public to make bookings and which days can I book?

No. Graze'n'Bathe Platters with/without local beverages are available to order when making your spa reservation at Lon.
Can I purchase a Gift Voucher and can it be spent on spa and/or accommodation at Lon?
Yes. Gift Vouchers can be purchased online through our website and can be emailed or posted on our gorgeous gift card. Vouchers can be for any dollar value to go towards Lon Spa and/or accommodation.
How long do I have to use my Lon Gift Voucher?
All Lon Gift Vouchers purchased for $ value are valid for up to three years. All Lon Gift Vouchers for packages are valid for 12 months.
